All our assessments are undertaken by appropriately qualified healthcare professionals, with training and expertise in the diagnosis of ADHD and/or autism, in accordance with paragraph 1.3 – Diagnosis, of current and published NICE guidelines. We observe guidance provided by the Royal College of Psychiatrists, and adhere to diagnostic criteria in DSM-5 or ICD-11 when providing diagnoses.

The protocols we use are based on the current 'gold standard' universally recognised by healthcare professionals.

Payment Plans

We understand that investing in private health care, and assessments, can seem expensive, but also be a priority. To help with this, interest-free payment plans*, up to a maximum of 5 months, to help spread the cost of your investment are an option. Spreading the cost of your assessment will coincide with our aim to complete the process, and provide your full report within 16 weeks from the date of the first appointment. We also can provide payment via Klarna, powered by Stripe. Our Business Support Team are able to discuss your options in more detail should you wish to enquire about a payment plan.

*subject to a administration fee of £55

This helps us to understand your challenges, and allows us to provide you with a robust way forward. There is no obligation to proceed to sessions, or with an assessment pathway after your consultation, and we will always advise you if we feel we are not the right fit for you.

An invoice to allow you to pay for this session will be sent to you once an appointment has been made. Payment for the initial consultation will need to be made at within 7 working days, using our secure payment platform.

Assessments for younger children and toddlers

We can provide assessments for toddlers and children who are under the age of 6. Our Business Support Team will be more than happy to discuss our process and fees with you. Please call us on 01303 248 997 or email office@purpleoctopusmanagement.co.uk.

Post-diagnosis Sessions

Our professional view is that following a positive diagnosis of ADHD and/or ASD, support and understanding is almost always necessary. We therefore recommend a series of 6 or more sessions with our clinicians to discuss everything in greater detail, and to access supportive suggestions and guidance.

As a guide, for a series of 6 sessions for a child and their family, the fees would be £900. These would be delivered virtually, and provide you with strategies and guidance on managing any neurodiversity. These sessions are available as a one-off or Pay As You Go (PAYG).

Psychotherapy Sessions

These sessions are delivered using our virtual telemedical platform, and are suitable for all our clients.

These are available as either Pay As You Go (PAYG) sessions, or as a block booking of 10 sessions.

You can book a one-off initial consultation appointment before proceeding with therapy or an assessment. This helps us to understand your challenges, and allows us to provide you with a robust way forward. There is no obligation to proceed to sessions, or with an assessment pathway after your consultation, and we will always advise you if we feel we are not the right fit for you. Payment for the initial consultation will need to be made at the point of booking your appointment. A link to our secure payment platform will be sent to you in your appointment confirmation email.

Clinical Hypnotherapy Sessions

These sessions can be delivered either virtually or face-to-face, in our therapeutic space in Ashford, Kent.

These are available as either Pay As You Go (PAYG) sessions, or as a block booking of 10 sessions.

You can book a one-off initial consultation appointment before proceeding with therapy or an assessment. This helps us to understand your challenges, and allows us to provide you with a robust way forward. There is no obligation to proceed to sessions, or with an assessment pathway after your consultation, and we will always advise you if we feel we are not the right fit for you. Payments

Payments for new assessments MUST be made at the time of booking the appointments. We do offer payment plans, which can be arranged through our Finance Team. Payments for assessments and/or sessions will need to be made at the point of booking your appointment.

Private Healthcare

We do NOT work directly with private health insurance companies at the current time. In our experience, ADHD in particular, is not normally covered at it's very definition is of a pre-existing condition. If your insurance provider does cover any appointments/sessions, you will need to pay us and then claim any money back from your insurer.

Cancellation Policy

Life happens, and we do understand that you may sometimes need to amend or cancel your appointment(s) with us. This can be done within 48 hours of the appointment, free of charge. If you are unable to make your appointment, or cancel within 24 hours, then our terms of business state that this will be charged at 100% of the full fee. You will then need to rebook any future appointments. Our full business terms and conditions are available by contacting our Business Support Team.
